It is advised to keep a lantern pet on at all times inside a base, whether on the ground or on a tame. Nameless are also able to emerge from foundations inside a base, including those placed on the back of a platform saddle. Nameless ignores camouflage effect from Pachyrhinosaurus and Rock Drake and will seek after them in the absence of charge light should the player be on the dino. Charge Lantern, even when deployed, disrupts their health regeneration as they are weak towards Charge Light. Utilize weapons such as shotguns while mounted on a tank-grown mount will make quick work of them.

If Nameless start attacking you, and you don't have a lantern pet with you, You should probably head to a Charge Node, Plant Z or Glowbug to weaken them, making it easier to fend them off. When a growl can be heard, that is a good sign they are nearby, and will emerge once the above conditions are met. If you do not have light surrounding you, or a pet that emits light, they will emerge from the ground and attack. Nameless often emerge from the ground in the absence of charge light, and in groups of at least three or more. This makes it hard to retrieve the levels on a tamed creature, so this tool is only for wild ones, but gives a first impression, how well the stats are distributed.

Note that after the creature is tamed it gets bonuses on some stats depending on the taming effectiveness.
